James Brown is a solo electronic artist, composer, and songwriter born in Leeds in 1984. A native of the city, Brown studied art for five years at a college and university in Leeds and loved music from a young age.
In 2008, Brown founded his own band, “Pulled Apart By Horses”. A year later, the band signed a contract with Transgressive Records. In 2010, they released their debut album and later recorded at the Monnow Valley Studio in Wales. The band’s second album, released in 2012, received positive reviews from critics. Two years later, their third album entered the Top 40 chart.
In 2017, “Pulled Apart By Horses” released their fourth album, “The Haze”, which was another success.
In 2022, James Brown announced his departure from the band. For 14 years, he had been the lead guitarist of “Pulled Apart By Horses”.
